A pre-roll is cannabis flower that a producer has already ground and packed into a rolling paper or cone, then closed at one end. Instead of buying loose flower, grinding it, and rolling your own, you take the finished joint out of its tube or box and light it. Infused pre-rolls add concentrate for higher potency
An infused pre-roll is a joint that combines ground flower with a cannabis concentrate. The concentrate might be kief, which is the loose resin powder that falls off flower, or a processed extract such as hash, distillate, live resin, or rosin. Adding concentrate raises the total THC of the joint above what the flower alone would carry.
Brands infuse pre-rolls in a few ways. Some dust or roll the outside of the joint in kief, some blend concentrate into the ground flower before rolling, and some run a line or core of extract down the center. You may see these described on the label as infused, coated, or diamond-infused, along with a THC percentage that is often noticeably higher than a flower-only pre-roll from the same shelf.
Because infused pre-rolls carry more THC by design, they are generally described as more potent and slower to burn than standard pre-rolls. A pre-roll label tells you the strain, weight, and THC percentage
